We were informed by the Mayor of Kythira, Mr. Efstratios Charchalakis, about the existence of wind speed measurement rods in Antikythira. Submitting wind measurements for at least one year is a prerequisite for applying for a wind power license from an investor to the Energy Regulatory Authority. Mr Harchalakis shared with us the Letter of the President of the Board of Directors of the National Observatory of Athens, Professor Manolis Pleionis, to the Deputy Minister of Research and Technology regarding the potential problems that may arise in the national research infrastructure PAGGAIA from the installation of wind parks in Antikythera.
