Kythira Wind Turbines Information

Photorealistic Visualizations of Kythiras landscape transformed by proposed Wind Parks

A photorealistic depiction from Agia Anastasia, which in recent years has enjoyed particular preference from the investment community. The photograph is taken from the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) that has been posted for public consultation.
The view from the traditional settlement of Aroniadika. Since this is taken from the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) currently under public consultation, and wanting to be fair, we assume that the height of the wind turbines depicted is accurate.

A map showing the locations of the three industrial wind farms with all the affected settlements.

And we remind everyone that regardless of the aesthetic aspect, there is a substantial political issue here.

HOW IS IT POSSIBLE FOR THE MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT AND ENERGY TO APPROVE THESE PROJECTS WHEN THE SPECIAL ENVIRONMENTAL STUDY (SES) THAT THE SAME MINISTRY CONDUCTED JUST A YEAR AGO PROHIBITS THIS ACTIVITY IN THE AREAS WHERE THESE INDUSTRIAL WIND FARMS ARE BEING LOCATED?
